Where your class lists are stored
Nothing you type here is collected by TheMarketshop.com.
Class names and student names are saved in your own browser, on this
device. They are not uploaded to any server, we cannot see them, and
they are not shared with anyone.
What gets saved
The class names you create
The student names you add to each class
Any note you keep for a class, such as where the section left off
Any notes you attach to an individual student
Any groupings you choose to save for a class
Each class’s seating chart and room layout
Who you have marked away today — cleared automatically the next day
Your current picking round, random order, and groups are also saved for each class so you can resume them.
What that means day to day
Your lists come back when you return to this page in the same browser on the same device.
They will not follow you to another computer, another browser, or a private window.
Clearing your browsing data removes them.
On a shared or classroom computer, anyone using that same browser profile can see them — erase them when you are finished.
A word about student notes.
Notes are stored the same way as names — in this browser only, never
uploaded. But they can hold more sensitive detail than a name, such as a
seating arrangement, an accommodation, or a reminder about a student's
needs. On a shared or classroom computer, treat them like anything else
you would not leave open on the screen: switch off Show student
notes before projecting, and erase your data when you are done.
Keep in mind that notes about a student may count as a student record
under your school's policies.

One thing to be clear about
This page does show ads from Google AdSense, and Google may set its own
cookies for advertising. That is separate from your class lists —
Google never receives the names you type here. See our
Privacy Policy for
how advertising works across the site.
Earlier versions of this page saved class lists in a cookie, which was
sent to the server with every page request. It now uses local storage,
which is never transmitted. Any old cookie is migrated and deleted
automatically the next time you load this page.
