Apple Pie Tortilla
DessertThis Apple Pie Tortilla recipe is an easy shortcut dessert with warm apple filling, a crisp buttery tortilla, and a cinnamon-sugar topping. It uses just a few ingredients and takes about 25 minutes from start to finish.
Apple Pie Tortillas
Servings: 8
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 15 minutes
Oven temperature: 375°F
Ingredients
1 can apple pie filling
8 wheat tortillas
I used Carb Balance tortillas, but regular wheat or flour tortillas will also work
2 to 3 tablespoons butter, melted
Sugar, to taste
Ground cinnamon, to taste
Cinnamon sugar can be used instead, which is what I used
Vanilla ice cream, optional
Whipped cream, optional
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
Pour the apple pie filling into a bowl and cut the larger apple pieces into smaller chunks.
Place one tortilla on a flat surface.
Spoon some apple pie filling into the center of the tortilla. Be careful not to overfill it.
Fold in the sides and roll the tortilla tightly around the filling.
Place it seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
Repeat with the remaining tortillas and apple filling.
Brush the tops of the tortillas with melted butter.
Sprinkle each tortilla with sugar and cinnamon, or use a prepared cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Bake for approximately 15 minutes, or until the tortillas are warm, lightly browned, and slightly crisp.
Serve warm on their own or topped with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream.
